Seven times a day I praise you!
대홍수
1 여호와께서 노아에게 말씀하셨다. “너는 모든 가족과 함께 배로 들어가거라. 이 세대에서 네가 의로운 자임을 내가 보았다.
2 너는 각종 정결한 짐승 암수 일곱 쌍씩, 그리고 각종 부정한 짐승은 암수 한 쌍씩 모아들여라.
3 또 공중의 새도 그 종류대로 암수 일곱 쌍씩 보존하여 모든 종류의 짐승과 새가 지상에 그 씨를 퍼뜨리게 하라.
4 지금부터 7일 후에 내가 40일 동안 밤낮 비를 내려 내가 창조한 모든 생물을 지상에서 쓸어 버릴 것이다.”
5 그래서 노아는 여호와께서 명령하신 그대로 하였다.
6 땅에 홍수가 밀어닥치기 시작할 때 노아는 600세였다.
7 노아는 아들들과 아내와 며느리들과 함께 홍수를 피하여 배에 들어갔고
8 정결하고 부정한 갖가지 짐승과 새도
9 하나님이 노아에게 명령하신 대로 암수 한 쌍씩 노아와 함께 배로 들어갔다.
10-11 그로부터 7일 후 노아가 600세 되던 해 2월 17일에 홍수가 나기 시작하였다. 그 날에 땅의 모든 깊은 샘들이 터지며 하늘의 창들이 열려
12 40일 동안 밤낮 비가 쏟아져내렸다.
Noah and the Flood
1 Then the Lord said to Noah, “Go into the ark with your whole family.
I know that you are a godly man among the people of today.
2 Take seven pairs of every kind of ‘clean’ animal with you.
Take a male and a female of each kind. Take one pair of every kind of animal that is not ‘clean.’ Take a male and a female of each kind.
3 Also take seven pairs of every kind of bird.
Take a male and a female of each kind.
Then every kind will be kept alive.
They can spread out again over the whole earth.
4 Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth.
It will rain for 40 days and 40 nights.
I will destroy from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”
5 Noah did everything the Lord commanded him to do.
6 Noah was 600 years old when the flood came on the earth.
7 He and his sons entered the ark. His wife and his sons’ wives went with them.
They entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.
8 Male and female pairs of “clean” animals and pairs of animals that were not “clean” came to Noah. So did male and female pairs of birds and of all the creatures that move along the ground.
9 All of them came to Noah and entered the ark.
Everything happened just as God had commanded Noah.
10 After seven days the flood came on the earth.
11 Noah was 600 years old. It was the 17th day of the second month of the year.
On that day all of the springs at the bottom of the oceans burst open.
God opened the windows of the sky.
12 Rain fell on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights.
