    하루 일곱번씩 주를 찬양하나이다Seven times a day I praise you! 열왕기하 2 KINGS 19:20-37 산헤립에 대한 여호와의 말씀 20 그때 아모스의 아들 이사야는 히스기야에게 이런 전갈을 보냈다. “이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서는 왕의 기도를 들으시고21 앗시리아 왕에 대하여 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. ‘처녀 딸 시온은 너를 두려워하지 않는다. 예루살렘이 너를 비웃고 조롱하고 있다.22 네가 누구를 꾸짖고 모독하였느냐? 너는 이스라엘의 거룩한 자를 향하여 큰소리 치고 잘난 척하였다.23 너는 많은 전차를 거느리고 가서 레바논 산들의 가장 높은 정상을 정복하였고 거기서 제일 키 큰 백향목과 제일 좋은 잣나무를 자르고 레바논의 가장 깊은 숲속까지 정복하였으며24 또 너는 네가 정복한 외국 땅에서 물을 마시고 이집트 땅을 모조리 짓밟아 버렸다고 자랑하였다.25 내가 오래 전부터 이 모든 일을 계획했다는 말도 너는 듣지 못했느냐? 너를 통해 요새화된 성들을 쳐서 돌무더기가 되게 한 것은 바로 나이다.26 그래서 네가 정복한 그 나라들은 너를 대항할 힘이 없어 두려워하고 놀랐으며 들의 풀이나 나물 같고 지붕 위의 잡초 같으며 자라기도 전에 말라 버리는 곡식 같았다.27 나는 너에 관한 모든 일과 네가 무엇을 하고 어디에 가는지 다 알고 있으며 네가 나에 대해서 얼마나 악한 말을 했는지도 잘 알고 있다.28 또 나에 대한 너의 분노와 그 오만한 태도에 대해서도 나는 다 들었다. 그러므로 내가 네 코에 갈고리를 꿰고 네 입에 재갈을 물려 네가 오던 길로 끌고 갈 것이다.’29 “이번에는 여호와께서 히스기야왕에게 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. ‘앞으로 일어날 일의 징조는 이렇다: 금년과 내년에는 너희가 저절로 자라난 야생 곡식을 먹고 3년째에는 농사지어 추수한 곡식과 포도를 먹을 것이다.30 살아 남은 유다 사람들은 땅으로 뿌리를 깊이 내리고 열매를 맺는 식물과 같이 다시 번성할 것이며31 살아 남은 자들이 예루살렘과 시온산에서 나올 것이다. 나 여호와는 반드시 이 일을 이룰 것이다.’32 “그러므로 여호와께서는 앗시리아 왕에 대하여 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. ‘그는 이 성으로 들어오지 못하고 화살 하나 쏘지 못할 것이다. 그리고 방패 든 군인들도 접근하지 못할 것이며 성 주변에 토성을 쌓지 못하고33 오던 길로 되돌아갈 것이다. 이것은 나 여호와의 말이다.34 내가 나의 명예와 내 종 다윗을 위해 이 성을 지키고 보호할 것이다.’ ”35 바로 그 날 밤 여호와의 천사가 앗시리아군 진영으로 가서 185,000명을 쳐죽였다. 사람들이 아침에 일어나 보니 모두 죽어 시체만 즐비하게 널려 있지 않겠는가!36 그러자 앗시리아의 산헤립왕은 철수하고 니느웨로 돌아갔다.37 어느 날 그가 니스록 신전에서 경배하고 있을 때 자기 아들 아드람멜렉과 사레셀이 그를 칼로 쳐서 죽이고 아라랏 땅으로 도망해 버렸다. 그러자 그의 아들 에살핫돈이 왕위를 계승하였다. Isaiah Prophesies Sennacherib’s Fall 20 Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent a message to Hezekiah: “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I have heard your prayer concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria. 21 This is the word that the Lord has spoken against him:“ ‘Virgin Daughter Ziondespises you and mocks you.Daughter Jerusalemtosses her head as you flee.22 Who is it you have ridiculed and blasphemed?Against whom have you raised your voiceand lifted your eyes in pride?Against the Holy One of Israel!23 By your messengersyou have ridiculed the Lord.And you have said,“With my many chariotsI have ascended the heights of the mountains,the utmost heights of Lebanon.I have cut down its tallest cedars,the choicest of its junipers.I have reached its remotest parts,the finest of its forests.24 I have dug wells in foreign landsand drunk the water there.With the soles of my feetI have dried up all the streams of Egypt.”25 “ ‘Have you not heard?Long ago I ordained it.In days of old I planned it;now I have brought it to pass,that you have turned fortified citiesinto piles of stone.26 Their people, drained of power,are dismayed and put to shame.They are like plants in the field,like tender green shoots,like grass sprouting on the roof,scorched before it grows up.27 “ ‘But I know where you areand when you come and goand how you rage against me.28 Because you rage against meand because your insolence has reached my ears,I will put my hook in your noseand my bit in your mouth,and I will make you returnby the way you came.’29 “This will be the sign for you, Hezekiah:“This year you will eat what grows by itself,and the second year what springs from that.But in the third year sow and reap,plant vineyards and eat their fruit.30 Once more a remnant of the kingdom of Judahwill take root below and bear fruit above.31 For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant,and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors.“The zeal of the LordAlmighty will accomplish this.32 “Therefore this is what the Lordsays concerning the king of Assyria:“ ‘He will not enter this cityor shoot an arrow here.He will not come before it with shieldor build a siege ramp against it.33 By the way that he came he will return;he will not enter this city,declares the Lord.34 I will defend this city and save it,for my sake and for the sake of David my servant.’ ”35 That night the angel of the Lordwent out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning—there were all the dead bodies! 36 So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh and stayed there.37 One day, while he was worshiping in the temple of his god Nisrok, his sons Adrammelek and Sharezer killed him with the sword, and they escaped to the land of Ararat.     하루 일곱번씩 주를 찬양하나이다Seven times a day I praise you! 열왕기하 2 KINGS 19:1-19 이사야의 조언을 구하는 왕 1 히스기야왕은 그들의 말을 듣고 자기 옷을 찢으며 삼베 옷을 입고 기도 하려고 여호와의 성전으로 들어갔다.2 그러고서 그는 궁중 대신 엘리야김과 서기관 셉나와 나이 많은 제사장들에게 삼베 옷을 입게 하고 그들을 아모스의 아들인 예언자 이사야에게 보냈다.3 그래서 그들은 이사야에게 가서 히스기야의 말을 이렇게 전하였다. “오늘은 고통과 책망과 치욕의 날입니다. 우리는 아이가 태어날 때가 되었으나 해산할 힘이 없는 여자처럼 되었습니다.4 앗시리아 왕이 보낸 한 군 지휘관이 살아 계신 하나님을 모욕하였습니다. 아마 당신의 하나님 여호와께서도 그가 모욕하는 말을 들으셨을 것입니다. 여호와께서 그를 책망하시겠지만 당신은 살아 남은 우리 백성을 위해서 기도해 주십시오.”5 이사야는 히스기야왕의 전갈을 받고6 이런 회답을 보냈다. “여호와께서는 왕이 그 앗시리아 지휘관의 말 때문에 두려워하지 말라고 하셨습니다.7 여호와께서는 앗시리아 왕이 본국으로부터 좋지 못한 소문을 듣고 돌아가 거기서 살해당하게 할 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다.”8 그때 그 앗시리아 지휘관은 자기 왕이 이미 라기스에서 떠났다는 말을 듣고 립나로 가서 싸우고 있는 왕을 만났다.9 이때 앗시리아 왕은 에티오피아의 디르하가왕이 자기를 치러 온다는 말을 듣고 히스기야에게 이런 편지를 보냈다.10 “너는 네가 의지하는 신이 ‘예루살렘은 앗시리아 왕의 손에 넘어가지 않을 것이다’ 라고 말하는 소리에 속지 말아라.11 앗시리아 왕들이 수많은 나라를 닥치는 대로 쳐서 멸망시켰던 일을 너도 들었을 것이다. 그런데 어째서 너만 살아 남으려고 하느냐?12 내 조상들은 고산과 하란과 레셉성을 멸망시키고 들라살에 사는 에덴 사람들을 죽였는데도 그들의 신들은 그들을 구해 내지 못하였다.13 하맛과 아르밧과 스발와임과 헤나와 아와의 왕들이 다 어디 있느냐?”14 히스기야는 그 편지를 받아 보고 여호와의 성전으로 가서 편지를 여호와 앞에 펴 놓고15 이렇게 기도하였다. “그룹 천사들 위의 보좌에 앉아 계신 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와여, 주께서만 온 세상 나라를 다스리는 하나님이십니다. 주는 하늘과 땅을 창조하셨습니다.16 여호와여, 귀를 기울여 들으소서. 여호와여, 눈을 떠서 보소서. 산헤립이 살아 계신 하나님을 모독하려고 보낸 이 말을 들으소서.17-18 앗시리아 왕들이 수많은 나라를 멸 망시키고 그 땅을 황폐하게 하며 그 신들의 우상을 불태운 것이 사실입니다. 하지만 그것은 신이 아니라 사람의 손으로 만든 나무나 돌에 불과했기 때문에 그들이 멸할 수 있었습니다.19 우리 하나님 여호와여, 이제 우리를 앗시리아 왕의 손에서 구해 주소서. 그러면 온 세상 나라들이 주 여호와만 하나님이신 것을 알게 될 것입니다.” Jerusalem’s Deliverance Foretold 1 When King Hezekiah heard this, he tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and went into the temple of the Lord. 2 He sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the secretary and the leading priests, all wearing sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz. 3 They told him, “This is what Hezekiah says: This day is a day of distress and rebuke and disgrace, as when children come to the moment of birth and there is no strength to deliver them. 4 It may be that the Lord your God will hear all the words of the field commander, whom his master, the king of Assyria, has sent to ridicule the living God, and that he will rebuke him for the words the Lord your God has heard. Therefore pray for the remnant that still survives.”5 When King Hezekiah’s officials came to Isaiah, 6 Isaiah said to them, “Tell your master, ‘This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid of what you have heard—those words with which the underlings of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. 7 Listen! When he hears a certain report, I will make him want to return to his own country, and there I will have him cut down with the sword.’ ”8 When the field commander heard that the king of Assyria had left Lachish, he withdrew and found the king fighting against Libnah.9 Now Sennacherib received a report that Tirhakah, the king of Cush the upper Nile region was marching out to fight against him. So he again sent messengers to Hezekiah with this word: 10 “Say to Hezekiah king of Judah: Do not let the god you depend on deceive you when he says, ‘Jerusalem will not be given into the hands of the king of Assyria.’ 11 Surely you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the countries, destroying them completely. And will you be delivered? 12 Did the gods of the nations that were destroyed by my predecessors deliver them—the gods of Gozan, Harran, Rezeph and the people of Eden who were in Tel Assar? 13 Where is the king of Hamath or the king of Arpad? Where are the kings of Lair, Sepharvaim, Hena and Ivvah?”14 Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it. Then he went up to the temple of the Lord and spread it out before the Lord. 15 And Hezekiah prayed to the Lord: “Lord, the God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, you alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. 16 Give ear, Lord, and hear; open your eyes, Lord, and see; listen to the words Sennacherib has sent to ridicule the living God.17 “It is true, Lord, that the Assyrian kings have laid waste these nations and their lands. 18 They have thrown their gods into the fire and destroyed them, for they were not gods but only wood and stone, fashioned by human hands. 19Now, Lord our God, deliver us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone, Lord, are God.” ​★Quiz Time★ 14 ________는 그 편지를 받아 보고 여호와의 성전으로 가서 편지를 여호와 앞에 펴 놓고 15 이렇게 ____하였다.14 __________ received the letter from the messengers and read it.     하루 일곱번씩 주를 찬양하나이다Seven times a day I praise you! 열왕기하 2 KINGS 18:1-16 유다의 5대 왕 여호람 1 엘리사는 전에 아들을 살려 준 그 수넴 여자에게 이렇게 말하였다. “당신은 가족과 함께 이 곳을 떠나 다른 나라에 가서 살도록 하시오. 여호와께서는 7년 동안 계속될 기근을 이스라엘 땅에 내리시겠다고 선언하셨소.”2 그래서 그 여자는 가족을 데리고 블레셋 사람의 땅으로 가서 7년 동안 살았다.3 기근이 끝난 후에 그 여자는 이스라엘로 돌아와 자기 집과 땅을 되찾기 위해 왕에게 호소하러 갔다.4 바로 그때 왕은 엘리사의 사환 게하시와 이야기를 하고 있었는데 왕은 엘리사가 행한 기적에 관해서 알고 싶어하였다.5 그래서 게하시는 엘리사가 죽은 아이를 살렸던 일을 왕에게 말해 주었다. 바로 이때 그 아이의 어머니가 들어와서 자기 집과 땅을 되찾게 해 달라고 왕에게 호소하였다. 그러자 게하시는 “왕이시여, 이 사람이 바로 그 여자입니다. 그리고 이 아이는 엘리사가 그때 살려 낸 바로 이 여자의 아들입니다” 하고 외쳤다.6 그래서 왕은 그 여자에게 물어 보고 그것이 사실임을 확인한 다음 관리 한 사람을 불러 그 여자의 모든 소유를 돌려 주고 그녀가 떠나고 없었던 7년 동안에 그녀의 토지에서 생산된 모든 농산물을 계산해 주라고 지시하였다.7 한번은 엘리사가 다마스커스에 갔는데 그때 시리아 왕 벤 – 하닷이 병들어 있었다. 왕은 엘리사가 그 곳에 와 있다는 말을 듣고8 그의 신하 하사엘에게 말하였다. “너는 선물을 가지고 그 예언자에게 가서 내 병이 나을 것인지 여호와께 좀 물어 봐 달라고 부탁하여라.”9 그래서 하사엘은 나귀 40마리에 다마스커스의 가장 좋은 특산물을 잔뜩 싣고 엘리사에게 가서 이렇게 말하였다. “당신의 종 벤 – 하닷왕이 나를 당신에게 보내며 그의 병이 낫겠는지 물어 오라고 했습니다.”10 그래서 엘리사는 그에게 “당신은 왕에게 가서 그 병이 나을 것이라고 말하시오. 그러나 여호와께서는 그가 죽게 될 것을 나에게 보여 주셨소” 하고 대답하였다.11 그러고서 그는 하사엘이 당황할 정도로 그의 얼굴을 뚫어지게 바라보다가 울기 시작하였다.12 그러자 하사엘이 물었다. “선생님, 무슨 일로 우십니까?” “나는 당신이 이스라엘 백성에게 행할 끔찍한 일을 알고 있소. 당신은 그들의 요새에 불을 지르고 젊은이들을 칼로 죽이며 어린 아이들을 메어쳐서 죽이고 임신한 여자들의 배를 가를 것이오.”13 “개처럼 보잘것없는 내가 어떻게 그런 큰 일을 할 수 있겠습니까?” “여호와께서는 당신이 시리아 왕이 될 것을 나에게 보여 주셨소.”14 하사엘이 벤 – 하닷에게 돌아가자 왕이 그에게 “엘리사가 너에게 뭐라고 말하더냐?” 하고 물었다. 그래서 그는 “왕이 나을 것이라고 말해 주었습니다” 하고 대답하였다.15 그러나 하사엘은 그 다음날 이불을 물에 적셔 가지고 가서 왕의 얼굴에 덮어 그를 질식시켜 죽이고 자기가 대신 왕이 되었다.16 아합의 아들인 이스라엘의 요람왕 5년에 여호사밧의 아들 여호람이 유다 왕이 되었다.  Eehoram King of Judah 1 Now Elisha had said to the woman whose son he had restored to life, “Go away with your family and stay for a while wherever you can, because the Lordhas decreed a famine in the land that will last seven years.” 2 The woman proceeded to do as the man of God said. She and her family went away and stayed in the land of the Philistines seven years.3 At the end of the seven years she came back from the land of the Philistines and went to appeal to the king for her house and land. 4 The king was talking to Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, and had said, “Tell me about all the great things Elisha has done.” 5 Just as Gehazi was telling the king how Elisha had restored the dead to life, the woman whose son Elisha had brought back to life came to appeal to the king for her house and land.Gehazi said, “This is the woman, my lord the king, and this is her son whom Elisha restored to life.” 6 The king asked the woman about it, and she told him.Then he assigned an official to her case and said to him, “Give back everything that belonged to her, including all the income from her land from the day she left the country until now.”Hazael Murders Ben-Hadad7 Elisha went to Damascus, and Ben-Hadad king of Aram was ill. When the king was told, “The man of God has come all the way up here,” 8 he said to Hazael, “Take a gift with you and go to meet the man of God. Consult the Lordthrough him; ask him, ‘Will I recover from this illness?’ ”9 Hazael went to meet Elisha, taking with him as a gift forty camel-loads of all the finest wares of Damascus. He went in and stood before him, and said, “Your son Ben-Hadad king of Aram has sent me to ask, ‘Will I recover from this illness?’ ”10 Elisha answered, “Go and say to him, ‘You will certainly recover.’ Nevertheless, the Lordhas revealed to me that he will in fact die.” 11 He stared at him with a fixed gaze until Hazael was embarrassed. Then the man of God began to weep.12 “Why is my lord weeping?” asked Hazael.“Because I know the harm you will do to the Israelites,” he answered. “You will set fire to their fortified places, kill their young men with the sword, dash their little children to the ground, and rip open their pregnant women.”13 Hazael said, “How could your servant, a mere dog, accomplish such a feat?”“The Lordhas shown me that you will become king of Aram,” answered Elisha.14 Then Hazael left Elisha and returned to his master. When Ben-Hadad asked, “What did Elisha say to you?” Hazael replied, “He told me that you would certainly recover.” 15 But the next day he took a thick cloth, soaked it in water and spread it over the king’s face, so that he died.     하루 일곱번씩 주를 찬양하나이다Seven times a day I praise you! 열왕기하 2 KINGS 2:12-25 엘리사의 기적 12 엘리사는 이 광경을 보고 “나의 아버지여! 나의 아버지여! 이스라엘의 전차와 마병이여!” 하고 외쳤다. 엘리야가 사라지고 다시 보이지 않자 엘리사는 슬퍼서 자기 옷을 잡아 둘로 찢고13 엘리야의 몸에서 떨어진 겉옷을 주워 가지고 요단강으로 돌아왔다. 그는 강둑에 서서14 그 겉옷으로 강물을 내리치며 “엘리야의 하나님 여호와는 어디 계십니까?” 하고 외쳤다. 그러자 강물이 좌우로 갈라져 엘리사는 강을 건넜다.15 이때 여리고에서 온 예언자의 생도들이 엘리사가 행한 일을 보고 “엘리야의 영이 엘리사에게 내렸다!” 하고 외쳤다. 그러고서 그들은 엘리사에게 가서 그를 영접하며 그 앞에 엎드려16 이렇게 말하였다. “여기 건장한 사람 50명이 있습니다. 말씀만 하십시오. 우리가 가서 당신의 선생님을 찾아보도록 하겠습니다. 여호와의 성령께서 그를 들어다가 어느 산이나 계곡에 던지셨을지도 모릅니다.” 그때 엘리사가 “아니다. 그럴 필요가 없다” 하였으나17 그들이 끝까지 고집하므로 하는 수 없이 그들을 보내 주었다. 50명의 그 예언자 생도들은 3일 동안 엘리야를 찾아다녔으나 그를 발견하지 못하고18 여리고에 머물러 있는 엘리사에게 돌아왔다. 그래서 엘리사는 그들에게 “내가 가지 말라고 하지 않았느냐?” 하고 꾸짖었다.19 몇몇 여리고 사람들이 엘리사에게 와서 이렇게 말하였다. “선생님도 보셔서 아시겠지만 이 성은 아름다운 곳에 위치해 있으나 물이 좋지 못하므로 농작물이 제대로 열매를 맺지 못합니다.”20 그래서 엘리사는 새 그릇에 소금을 가득 담아 오게 한 다음21 그것을 가지고 샘으로 가서 물에 소금을 뿌리며 외쳤다. “이것은 여호와의 말씀이다. ‘내가 이 물을 고쳤으니 다시는 이 물을 먹고 사람이 죽거나 농산물이 열매를 맺지 못하는 일이 없을 것이다!’ ”22 그러자 그 물은 엘리사의 말대로 좋은 물이 되어 오늘날까지도 맑고 깨끗하다.23 그 후에 엘리사는 여리고를 떠나 벧엘로 올라갔는데 가는 도중에 성에서 아이들이 나와 그를 조롱하며 “대머리야, 꺼져라! 대머리야, 꺼져라!” 하고 소리를 질러댔다.24 이때 엘리사가 돌아서서 그들을 보고 여호와의 이름으로 저주하자 숲속에서 암곰 두 마리가 나와 아이들 42명을 찢어 죽였다.25 그런 다음 엘리사는 갈멜산으로 갔다가 후에 사마리아로 돌아갔다.  Elisha Makes Jericho’s Water Pure 12 Elisha saw it and cried out to Elijah, “My father! You are like a father to me! You, Elijah, are the true chariots and horsemen of Israel!” Elisha didn’t see Elijah anymore. Then Elisha took hold of his own garment and tore it in two.13 He picked up the coat that had fallen from Elijah. He went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan River. 14 Then he struck the water with Elijah’s coat. “Where is the power of the Lord?” he asked. “Where is the power of the God of Elijah?” When Elisha struck the water, it parted to the right and to the left. He went across the river.15 The group of prophets from Jericho were watching. They said, “The spirit of Elijah has been given to Elisha.” They went over to Elisha. They bowed down to him with their faces toward the ground. 16 “Look,” they said. “We have 50 capable men. Let them go and look for your master. Perhaps the Spirit of the Lord has lifted him up. Maybe he has put him down on a mountain or in a valley.”“No,” Elisha replied. “Don’t send them.”17 But they kept asking until he felt he couldn’t say no. So he said, “Send them.” And they sent 50 men. They looked for Elijah for three days. But they didn’t find him. 18 So they returned to Elisha. He was staying in Jericho. Elisha said to them, “Didn’t I tell you not to go?”Elisha Makes Jericho’s Water Pure19 The people of Jericho said to Elisha, “Look. This town has a good location. You can see that for yourself. But the spring of water here is bad. So the land doesn’t produce anything.”20 “Bring me a new bowl,” Elisha said. “Put some salt in it.” So they brought it to him.21 Then he went out to the spring. He threw the salt into it. He told the people, “The Lord says, ‘I have made this water pure. It will never cause death again. It will never keep the land from producing crops again.’ ” 22 The water has stayed pure to this day. That’s what Elisha had said would happen.Some Boys Make Fun of Elisha23 Elisha left Jericho and went up to Bethel. He was walking along the road. Some boys came out of the town. They made fun of him. “Get out of here, baldy!” they said. “Get out of here! You don’t even have any hair on your head!” 24 He turned around and looked at them. And he asked for bad things to happen to them. He did it in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods. They attacked 42 of the boys. 25 Elisha went on to Mount Carmel.
